Teenage dreams in my crystal ball

This is my last weekend as a teenager, and I intend to go out in style. I’m talking movies, watching Miss America, four day weekend, all nighters and having so much fun that come Tuesday morning at 8AM I stumble into my first class of the semester with the biggest smile on my face, with no care for how exhausted I am. It’s going to be wonderful, and I’m going to reward myself with a extra big cup of coffee because it’s my birthday/birthday weekend. That means I do what I want.
When I was little, all I wanted was a big brother. I didn’t care that I had been born first  and that made it biologically impossible. I wanted one, someone who would give me advice and protect me from bad people. Eventually I grew out of it, and realized how much I loved being the care giver. But lately, all I want is an older sibling. Or a conversation with my older self. Someone who can tell me exactly how everything is going to turn out, exactly what I should do, and who to stop wasting my precious time on. Does anyone have a magic crystal ball I can borrow?

And y’all, it’s Friday the 13th, so avoid black cats, ladders and all that jazz. Thanks.

P.S. Some really awesome ladies are swinging by next week to talk about their twenties, and I’m so pumped! Start prepping your brains now, because they have some GREAT stories.

Haha aww...it's crazy that I left my "teens" six years ago...It seems like just yesterday- I was in high school, and yet my 10 year reunion is right around the corner! I can't wait to read the guest posts!!

Happy birthday weekend! Enjoy that coffee and if you ever want to pear into that crystal ball, or have an "older sibling" to talk to, shoot me an email. I'm a very qualified older sister and also love being a caregiver. *^_^* Take care and have super fun weekend!!!
