Kiss and Make-Up

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable™ Balm StainCoffeeClassic Color BlushCold & Allergy lip Soother

I’m kind of boring when it comes to make up. I change products until I find what works for me, then I stick with it. Like blush? I’ve used the exact same one since my Freshman year of high school (which now that I think about it is kinda gross, and I should probably go get a new one but…) The only thing I change regularly is lip products and mascara. There are too many good ones. But this is the stuff inhabiting my make up bag currently.

  1. Revlon lip stain balm. I have three of these in different colors. That’s how much I love them. They feel like you’re wearing chapstick, but go on with a sheer tint of color that you can build on.
  2. Maybelline Baby Lips. Same principle as the Revlon stain. I don’t wear my baby lips quite as much, because mine is that hot pink, which isn’t really an everyday color, but I love it when I do want lips that are bright, but don’t want to deal with the commitment of lipstick.
  3. Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse. I don’t wear foundation every day. Usually if I’m going to school I throw on some tinted moisturizer or concealer. And even that’s only if I’m feeling fancy. But when I do wear foundation, this is the one I use every single time. It makes my skin look poreless.
  4. Maybelline Great Lash. The classic. I love it because it makes my eye lashes look natural, but still noticeable. I was cursed blessed with long eye lashes so some mascaras make me look like I’ve piled on some fakes. This one is the perfect balance, but like I said, I play with mascara a lot. This is just the go to when none of the new ones appeal to me.
  5. ELF waterproof eyeliner marker. Y’all, it’s a dollar, which is a broke college girl’s dream, and it lasts forever. I’m talking outside in the Texas heat, or through a whole work out forever. I also love it because it gives me more control than a pencil or liquid would.
  6. ELF make up brushes. $12 for all these suckers, and they get the job done. Glowing review, I know.
  7. Covergirl eyeshadow. They have one called shimmering sands that has a dark, light and super light neutral color. It’s great to throw on quickly (light on whole eye, dark in crease) and the super light is the perfect highlighter.
  8. Covergirl classic blush. It comes with a mirror, which makes doing your make up in less than ideal settings a little easier, and the color is natural looking. I’ve had mine for six-ish years, which means I’m way due for a new one, but that’s just proof I love it.
  9. Blistex Cold and Allergy Lip Soother. I’m allergic to paprika. Paprika is in more stuff than you’d think. And when I eat it, my lips get super red, hivey, hot and swollen. It’s SO attractive. This is the only stuff that calms them down, and help everything heal. I’ve tried other brands, but if I’m in the middle of a reaction it feels like other balms are melting off my lips instead of medicating them. This stuff can take the heat. Pun intended.

Any incredible products I missed? Particularly mascara and lip stuff?
