Things being single has taught me

  1. Sometimes there is no better sound than the sound of silence. And there is no better relief from a hard day at work than going home and just vegging. Not venting, just letting go. Which is major, because I am a huge advocate of venting.
  2. I have really awesome friends. Like really, incredibly awesome friends. And if I ever again become one of those girls who pushes her friends by the wayside for boys, please slap me. I had forgotten how incredible girl time is.
  3. It's okay to do your own thing, even if you are dating someone. You can go be alone. And chill. Relax. You don't have to spend every single second of your day with someone. It's okay to have an option.
  4. Shopping is a lot more fun when you don't have to remember someone else's preferences.
  5. I get more studying done. Except for right now, because I'm blogging and watching YouTube videos. But that's besides the point.
  6. I do what I want. HOLLA! ;)
And when in doubt, listen to kids. They know how the world works.

"I DO WHAT I WANT!"

Haha I love it. And amen to shopping without keeping someone else's preferences in mind.

I'm right there with you about venting. It's such a good thing. But so is letting go. Both things are great.

Isn't learning/relearning things about yourself great? When I was single I tried my hardest to do everything I could to help me discover myself and new things about the people around me. It was the best learning experience for me so far.

Happy Monday!! [waves]

P.S. Guess who is going to have a (super late and I'm so very very very sorry) Christmas & birthday package sent her way tomorrow! *^^*

HOLLA!
All the single ladies...shoulda put a ring on it...

Okay, I'm done awkwardly singing now.
I'm glad you've learned these things. I truly believe that you need to be single every now and then to re-evaluate yourself and learn to make yourself happy.

BTW, love that you picked my favorite pic as your profile : )

And this is why I love youuuuu!

But no seriously... that kids thing... HILARIOUS! hahaha!

And um, just so you know... I'm SO GLAD you have learned all of these things before marriage!! WOO! :) hahaha because personally, I was just like you and had to learn them the hard way... and I feel like if I hadn't learned them before marriage, I would be a big mess ;) You have to learn how to balance things... and the best way to learn is by being single and realizing how GREAT YOU ARE even without a guy! ;)

Sometimes kids cut out the bs and just get down to what really matters.

Is it weird I like being single more than in a relationship? Maybe I've been single too long or just haven't found the right one!
