Facts of Me

I don’t have someone I consider my absolute best friend. Is that weird? I have my group of people that I turn to when I need support, but there’s not anyone I’m inseparable with.

My dad and grandpa chose this moment to let me know catfish fins can cut to your bone if they wiggle to close to you. I’d like to also credit this moment as when I became terrified of whales. I mean, if a little catfish can hurt you, what would a WHALE do to you?

Growing up, I was almost always the only girl. I’m the only girl for 12 years (both older and younger) in my family, and grew up on a street that was mainly boys. Boys who never wanted to play Barbies and house. What losers.

When I was little, all I wanted was a God sister, but I’m not catholic and my best friend already had god parents, so we became angel sisters. I’ve known her literally since the day she born, which we’re going to count as my entire life because no one really remembers the first 2 and a half months they’re alive anyway. We have this really creepy connection where regardless of what it is, we always have the same major event happen to us within a few months of each other (break ups, knee injuries, etc.) without planning.

I grew up in Connecticut, then moved to Texas when I was ten. Since we’re being honest, I’m scared to go back. Everything seems so big and cool when you’re little, and I know it won’t be exactly the same.

I’ve been doing pageants since the summer of sixth grade. Obviously, it’s taken me while to figure out how to do my make up and pose. Baby steps, y’all.

My pets are my babies. Every night I go collect them from their places around the house and tuck them into my bed. I also have a tendency to carry them around like they’re small children. Sorry, not sorry.

I get really cranky if I don’t get my coffee. I think that’s a sign of addiction, but I’m not going to pursue researching that, mainly because I don’t want to give it up. I mean, I willingly will pay for coffee with change if I don’t have any cash on me.

I also have a thing for watching crime shows and reading about serial killers. Slightly morbid, so incredibly fascinating.

I like people. In the non-creepiest way possible. I just like reading/hearing/seeing how other people live.

And since we’re talking about people. I’m a huge people pleaser. I hate letting people down, I hate hurting them, I hate making them angry.

I rarely finish products. When I get near the bottom I replace it, then get too excited about the new, different one to wait. Someday I’ll use them all up. Just not today.

I have a thing for owls. I love them, I’m pretty sure I have radar in my brain to spot them or things that look like them. You just can’t deny true love.

We have so much in common! I love owls, too, and also reading about serial killers! Have you ever watched the show Snapped? I no longer get the channel, but I was obsessed with it when I did!

I talk to my pets like they're humans, so I don't think anything is wrong with carrying them around like their babies! I call them the weirdest nicknames... like "My Boo Boo."

I can't tell you how many times I have paid for coffee with change! If it helps, there are actually some good health benefits to coffee - like decreased depression in women, plus it has antioxidants! :)
